What to Expect Giveaway & Link Love

So I won some What to Expect books from a giveaway on Mom of the Year.  Which is really awesome.  I’ve been obsessed with the latter two lately.  But the first one, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, I already had.  So I’m turning it around into a Femme Frugality giveaway!

Check out the Rafflecopter box below for ways to get entries.  I couldn’t have survived pregnancy (at least not sanely) without this book.  Doctors’ visits only go so far and I only remembered to ask so many questions.  These make great gifts for mamas-to-be, too.  So if you don’t have a bun in the oven, enter for your wifey, girlfriend, or friend.

BEFORE ALL THE MEN LEAVE…this book has a section for papas, too.  My mom got the boyfriend My Boys Can Swim! which was also great.  It was written entertainingly I guess.  It was short.  And it prepared you for how to deal with your preggo lady.

Here’s some great posts from the blogosphere about babies and, oh, yeah, money.

Miss T at Prarie Eco Thrifter shares How to Save Money on Baby Costs.

Devon at The Jack Chronicles shares her IT List for Baby.

Lindy at Minting Nickels tells us about how she didn’t save money on her babies, and the lessons you can learn from her experiences.

Good Buy Baby, an article on See Debt Run, lays out how babies aren’t expensive, but lifestyles can be.

Oh, the ever present SAHM/go back to work conundrum.  Head to My Money Design for a realistic, logical and emotional conversation on the topic.

Nicole and Maggie open up a discussion about ways to save on the second child.  Check out what she’s doing and see if you have anything to add.

Finally, I absolutely love MomVesting’s recent post on single moms returning to school.  Knowledge is power, and there’s nothing like setting a good example for your children.

What to Expect When You’re Expecting was like my Bible when I was pregnant with my first daughter. lol. It really is a helpful book when you are pregnant.

So excited I’ve been wanting to buy this book but I can’t justify it right now seeing as I’m not pregnant. I would love to read this though to prepare me for the future. *fingers crossed*

Thanks for the link love! My mom gave me What to Expect nearly 2 years ago when I was pregnant with Jack 🙂 It’s a wonderful book, and is What to Expect the First Year 🙂

Well I’m not expecting and I don’t even have a girlfriend. So I think I’ll hold off on reading this book. That’s great that you’re giving away books on here though.

By the way, you should add a pinterest pin button to your posts since it’s part of this contest.

This book was great — I need to get the What to Expect, First Years book now that pregnancy is almost (thank God!) over. Really need to figure out what to do with my first baby once she’s in my arms 🙂 Thanks for the link!

Make sure to check out the VERY end of it…it takes you through postpartum and the first little bit of baby’s life. But the first year book is awesome, too! So is the second year one. Used them a ton since I won them over at Mom of the Year.
