Who doesn’t want to make more money?
Money equals security, and as human beings, we like to feel secure. The ways we seek security are numerous, though, and unique to our financial situations.
Ways to Make More Money at Work
Believe it or not, you may be able to make more money without changing a thing about your job description. Whether you go into your performance review strong and ready to negotiate, or make a lateral move to another company for a higher salary, there are several ways to increase your income without putting more work on your plate.
Ways to Make Money Through Side Hustling
If you’ve maxed out what you can make at work and don’t want to go for a promotion or obtain even more education, a good way to bring in some extra cash is through a side hustle. You might be a brand ambassador or even start writing for blogs. Yes, you can actually make money doing the latter. The list of potential side hustles is endless.
You may even be starting a side hustle just to make ends meet at the end of the month. I used to do this early on in my blogging career by participating in medical studies–among other things.
Side hustles are a great way to make extra money, whether you need to pay the electric bill or want to contribute more to your retirement.
Making More Money as a Woman
Women are uniquely disadvantaged when it comes to earning money–especially if they’re a woman of a marginalized population. There are ways we can fight the system, though. We can study in STEM fields. We can negotiate from Day One. We can make our collective voices heard so that eventually the world will recognize that just because we have the ability to give birth doesn’t mean we deserve a smaller paycheck.
