How We Did Valentine’s Day for Free

We did Valentine's Day for free, while still exchanging gifts and catching a flick at the movie theater.

I promised all of you, specifically Nicole and Maggie, that I’d let you know what I had made for the boyfriend  for Valentine’s Day after I had given it to him.  Allow me to fulfill that promise:

I made him something really simple.  I made a Word document.  I inserted a bunch of pictures I had from the whole of our relationship…the park where we had our first date, friends’ weddings/road trips we had taken, and of course the little one.  I wrote a little caption next to each picture explaining why it was significant.  I printed it out to him and gave it to him after we left for our date night.

He loved it.  Or he’s really good at pretending.  I’m okay with it either way.  Romantic gifts for guys are so hard.

We went to see a free movie through Gofobo.  You can go see free movies, too.   I wrote an entire post about it here.

We saw Titanic in 3D.  The lady in charge of the event even let us sit in the VIP seats because not enough VIPs showed up.  She said that usually people hover around the VIP section, demanding that she let them enter.  She doesn’t, and lets it go empty out of principle.

But she offered them to us because we were nice, apparently.  So that was really cool.  Moral of the story:  if you’re not a jerk, good things come to you.

I guess it had been a while since I had seen that movie in its entirety.  I forgot how sad it was.  At one point I was balling my eyes out.

Tears aside, it was a fun Valentine’s Day, and one that didn’t cost us a cent.
