There’s lots of exciting stuff going on in the world of Femme Frugality today! School has started up, which means everyone in our family got put on a new schedule. (Or just back on our old one.) It’s been kind of exhausting, but there have been a lot of amazing little things happening in the midst of all the craziness.
Did you come here looking for Financially Savvy Saturdays?
Well, I’ve got some bad news, good news for you. The bad news is that I’m not regularly hosting it anymore, but the great news is that my friend Mel over at brokeGIRLrich has taken it over. Be sure to go and link up and show her your support in her first week since taking over!
I’ve been featured some on some pretty cool sites.
This week my work has been featured on two sites that I absolutely love. The first is a round-up over at Urban Cashmere, a fellow Pittsburgh blog. Wondering which post of mine they featured? Go check it out to find out!
Mint has also featured an article of mine on the impending changes to FICO scores that have everyone all excited. I try to be an optimistic realist about the whole thing. And I’m honored to have them share it with their audience.
RADical Days are coming up!
Every year I let you know about Pittsburgh’s RADical Days. Pretty much the way it works is that a lot of the things that make Pittsburgh cool receive some funding through the Regional Asset District (RAD.) Every fall, RAD opens up museums, art exhibits, historical sites, symphonies, sports facilities, and more to the public….for free. Each event/site has a specific day for free admission and events.
In 2014 it kicks off with a free tour of PNC Park on September 24 and wraps up with a free day at the zoo on November 9. There’s everything and anything in between….even a scavenger hunt at the Frick Art & Historical Center. (My inner dork is so excited.) You can check out the full schedule here.
P.S. It’s Labor Day Weekend.
And our schedule breathes a brief, early sigh of relief. I hope yours is amazing and full of relaxation! (Or full of catching up on all that pre-school year “preparation” that didn’t quite get done before summer abruptly said its goodbye. Because then at least I’ll have some company.)
I’ll leave you with some sage advice from my British bloggy friend:
